Is using the same flooring throughout my house ideal?

Using the same flooring throughout can create a lack of visual interest without the diversity of textures and colors. It's also important to remember that not all floorings are meant for every space. Hardwood is a good example, as it's not recommended for wet rooms like the kitchen or bath.
